The Summer Academy for Intercultural Dialogue was awarded the Pill Mayer Foundation‘s Prize for Intercultural Dialogue!
This prize is awarded to outstanding projects that promote intercultural dialogue and peaceful coexistence in our society. The aim of the award is to recognize initiatives that build bridges between cultures and bring people from different backgrounds together. The Pill Mayer Foundation sees intercultural dialogue as an essential element for social cohesion and the promotion of an open and diverse society.
The Summer Academy for Intercultural Dialogue is a project within the peace building and dialogue program of the Wings of Hope Foundation. Every year since 2007, our Summer Academy for Intercultural Dialogue has brought together young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kurdistan-Iraq, Palestine, Israel and Germany. In workshops, seminars and discussion groups, participants learn to see cultural differences not as an obstacle, but as an enrichment. Together, they develop solutions to social challenges and actively promote respectful coexistence.
Receiving the award is a great honor and recognition of our work. It shows that our efforts to contribute to intercultural understanding through education and dialogue are recognized and appreciated. The award motivates us to stay committed to the implementation and further development of our dialogue programs.
We would like to thank the Pill Mayer Foundation for this award and the associated support. Special thanks also go to all those who, through their participation and commitment, make the Summer Academy what it is – a place of dialogue, learning and shared growth.
