In Germany, we support people who are suffering from the consequences of traumatic experiences. This includes programs for refugee women and children as well as therapeutic services for people who have experienced trauma. We work particularly closely with the trauma care center of our partner organization in Bethlehem.
Stabilization and Resource Program for Refugee Mothers and Children
Every spring and autumn, under the motto “Take a Deep Breath and Strengthen Your Inner Balance”, we invite refugee mothers and their children to participate in a stabilization and resource program at the Labenbachhof in Ruhpolding. For one week, they take part in trauma education and therapy, rediscovering their resources and collecting positive experiences. Afterwards, the women meet in regional support groups.
Individual Trauma Therapy and Counseling
Our therapy services in Germany are for adults who are specifically seeking trauma therapy after traumatic experiences.
This often the case with domestic violence, (sexualized) violence during childhood, or the transgenerational transmission of trauma within families.
Trauma Care in Bethlehem, Palestine
Every year, our long-term project partner Wings of Hope for Trauma supports hundreds of people in the Palestinian city of Bethlehem who have experienced violence and oppression.
Our partner organization’s psychologists focus on individual therapy for women and children suffering from domestic violence.
We support our Palestinian colleagues through continuous professional training and supervision.
